Levurne Batts, III Obituary

Levurne Carter Batts, III, 53, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Piedmont Healthcare Cartersville, surrounded by his loving family.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 4479 Red Bud Road NE, Calhoun, Georgia 30701. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 6:00 - 7:00P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Dr. Levurne Carter Batts III Life Story Alpha:  September 23, 1971 - Omega: August 18, 2025 DR. LEVURNE CARTER BATTS III, age 53, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ocala, Florida, on September 23, 1971, to Levurne II and Kathleen Batts. Levurne graduated from Zama American High School in Camp Zama, Japan, with the class of 1989. An avid learner, he went on to earn an Associate Degree from North Carolina Theological School, and a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate from The New Testament School of Theology. Levurne was a Market Development Representative with Help At Home. He was also a dedicated business owner, operating Kidz Paradise and Bethany’s Baskets. His true passion in life was teaching the Word of God, and he loved to learn and talk about it. He had a special desire to reach the youth of his community, serving as a positive role model through his actions. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time at the beach, and serving others. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he loved watching NFL Football. He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Vanessa; his children, Levurne IV, Boaz (Giselle) Batts, Bethany Batts, and three special children, Chris Taylor, Kathie Taylor, and Robin Jennings. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Kathleen Batts; his brother, Derek (Quiana) Batts; and his nieces, Christina and Renee Batts, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Levurne was preceded in death by his father, Levurne Batts II; his grandfather, Levurne Batts; and his nephew, Derek Batts Jr.
