Linda Elaine (Barnswell) Barnswell

Ms. Linda Elaine Barnswell, 75 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Cartersville Center of Nursing. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 1:00PM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Ms. Linda Elaine Barnswell, was one of three daughters of Mary Cash Hall and Robert Hall. Linda was affectionately called as “Lynn” by her family and friends.  She was educated in the Bartow County School System and attended Summer Hill High School.

She attended St. Luke AME Church for many years. Linda was employed with Spring Dale Nursing Home as a CNA for 20 plus years.  She enjoyed reading, playing music and dancing. The most joy she received was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Cash Hall and Robert Hall.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, a beloved son, Shawn Mathis; grandchildren, Ansley Summerour, Sydney Gibson (Eric), Adrian Mathis, Jalynne Mathis, and Courtney Mathis; three great grandchildren, Quinton Brown, Orion Belcher, and Blaine Mathis; two Sisters, Sandra Garnigan and Virginia Goodson (Bobby); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
