Mrs. Mary Moore, 98, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 26 Shiloh Church Road, Taylorsville, Georgia 30178 . The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Mary Anna Moore was granted her angel wings on Friday, August 13th , 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family and friends that she had touched in so many ways throughout her life. Mary was born December 24, 1919, in Cohutta, GA to Jim and Emma Gary. She married H.J. Moore who preceded her in death in 1987. She was an active member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.
She loved her church family dearly. Mary worked as a cook for Sam Howel Hospital before retiring to care for her ailing husband. She was affectionately known as Miss Sis, Aunt Sis, Mama Sissy, Grandma and GranGran by many. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and over the years fried many potatoes and served plenty of noodles to
them and neighborhood children.
Miss Sis is survived by her daughters Emma Kennedy, Jacqueline Moore, Margie Glenn (Stewart) Marcella Green (Clayton);sons, John Moore (Utiphenus), Jimmy Moore, Sammy Moore (Denisey); brother, Frank Gary (Nedia) ; sister, Jonell Permenter; grandchildren, Cindy Naughten, Byron Moore, Amanda Printup (Patrick), Tierhonda Moore, Kevin Green, Samantha Moore, Megan Garnigan, Mia Niblet (Isaiah), Deundra Green, Tequila Cooper, Steven Moore (Charmaine), Nikki Glenn, Gabrielle Wright (Donnie), Andrea Arima (Michael) and Adrienne Green; a very special granddaughter, Barbara Echols who was her loving caregiver; great grandchildren, Terrence Echols, Sequoyah Echols, Alandra Echols, Parker Naughten, London, Kyrie and Adian Moore, Zadrin Printup, Amari Moore, Camden Green, Audrey Bearden and Alexandra Wright. Miss Sis was very proud that she had five generations of great-great grandchildren; Damarcus, Jacolby, Jala, Adun and Elijah Knight and Salen Printup. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
