Michael Vincent Benham, 66 formerly of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at his residence in Lula, Georgia. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00P.M. at Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1 Mount Olive Street, Cartersville, Georgia. Interment will follow on Tuesday, April, 23, 2024, at 9:00A.M. at The Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, Georgia 30114. THIS SERVICE WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED!!!!
Michael was born on February 3, 1958 to Mamie and Alfred Benham, Sr. He attended Cartersville High and graduated in 1976. Michael served in the United States Army from 1978 to 1981 and completed his service with an Honorable Discharge. He enjoyed pleasing people with his cooking, which he did very well. Michael also enjoyed deep-sea fiching and consistently participated in an annual fishing trip with his older brother, Freddy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, grandparents, and brothers, Vernon and Marlon Benham.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Alfred Jr., Barry (Rosel) , Steven (Linda), Rex (Bettell), and Patrick; one aunt, Betty Ruth Benham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
