Mr. Fred Eugene Chatman, Jr., 55, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Service for Fred will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026, 12:00 P.M. at Lovejoy Baptist Church, 436 Branham Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30161. He will lie in-state from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  Interment will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, 10:30 A.M. at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114. The family will meet at the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. & the processional will depart promptly at 9:30 A.M.  enroute to the cemetery.
