Mr. John Fitzgerald Hill, aka "Tat", 54, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at House of Liberty Church, 10 Womack Drive SE, Cartersville, Georgia. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the scholarship fund for John's chilldren.

On the morning of April 23, 2018, our Heavenly Father welcomed our beloved John Fitzgerald Hill, affectionately known as Tat, into His midst to rest peacefully and eternally. Tat, was born to the Late John Wade Hill and Hattie Ruth Hill on February 22, 1964 in Cartersville, Georgia. He was the faithful brother to Gregory Brown and Mary Jane Hall. Tat grew up and lived his adult life in Cartersville as a cherished and well known member of the community, devout father, and loving family member and friend to all who knew him.
As a young child growing up in the Sugar Valley Community, he became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and stayed active in sports year round excelling in baseball, basketball, football and boxing. He was educated in the Bartow County School System and graduated from Cass High School in 1982. Tat served in the Air Force Reserve and later pursued higher education at North Metro Technical College and earned his Associates degree in Information Technology in addition to obtaining various other IT certifications.
The majority of Tat’s career was spent working at the Home Depot headquarters, and he was most recently a loyal employee in the IT department with the Marta Transit System for more than 15 years. In 1999, Tat married Erica Regulus and fathered two children, Jalen and Jasmine Hill whom he loved dearly.
