Mr. Rudolph Jones Obituary

Mr. Rudolph “Rudy” Jones, 73, of College Park, Georgia and native of Cartersville, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2020.  Born January 6, 1947, he was the fifth of six sons born to the late Lucy Mae Robinson Jones and Hubert Jones, Sr.

A graveside service, honoring his life, will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020,  1:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1020 Mission Road, Cartersville, Georgia.

Rudy was a 1965 graduate of Summer Hill High School, attended Morris Brown College, in Atlanta, was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., a MARTA Retiree, and a member of Friendship Community Church, in College Park, Georgia

Rudy has left an indelible impression on numerous family members and friends.  Those left to cherish his memory are brothers, Donald (Faye) Jones, Larry (Sharon) Jones, and Gregory Solomon, his nephew who grew up like a brother in his parent’s home; aunt, Ann E. Robinson; a special cousin, Sandra (William) Solomon, who grew up with him like a sister; sisters-in-law, Sallie Jones and Marcella Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be made to Morris Brown College National Alumni Association, POB 92784, Atlanta, GA 30314 or Noble Hill-Wheeler Memorial Center, POB 67, Cassville, GA 30123.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place and MASKS are required.
