Tavarus, affectionately known as “Boo”, was born on September 16, 1978 in Cartersville, Georgia to Rhett “Johnny” McHenry and Mary Irene Fain.  Tavarus was educated in the Bartow County School System and graduated from Cass High School’s Class of 1997.

At the early age of fourteen he accepted Christ and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Cartersville, Georgia.  During his school years Boo loved playing sports, so he tried out for the Cass Colonels Football team.  He was a true sportsman; during his spare time, he would attend baseball and football games, both local and professional.  Tavarus’s favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Yankees.  His favorite pastime was collecting shoes.  He loved shoes!!!  If you knew him then you would know that he was a shoe addict and his favorite shoes of all time were “Jordan’s”.  Boo was a sharp dresser and you would never catch him without coordinating shoes and clothes.  He was also a very giving person and had the biggest heart.  Whenever anyone needed him, he was always one call away and would be there.  The love Boo had for his family and friends was beyond the imagination.  He was everything anyone could ask for in a father, brother, cousin and friend.

Boo met the love of his life, LaTischa Echols when he was sixteen, she was his High School Sweetheart.  You would always see Tavarus and LaTischa all around the Valley. He would always tell his friends, “She is going to be my wife one day and have me a baby girl.”  On September 16, 2016, he married LaTischa and to this union a baby girl was born, LaTavia Shavannah “Pooh Bear” McHenry.  She was the completion of two dreams come true.  Pooh Bear was so special that her father started her a collection of “Jordan’s” before she was born.  Boo just wanted to make sure that he could spoil her rotten.  Nothing and no one could ever replace the Love he had for his wife and daughter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert “Billy” and Zulia Bell McHenry; and aunt, Vivian Maxwell.

Tavarus leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted and loving wife, LaTischa McHenry; daughter, LaTavia Shavannah McHenry; father, Rhett (Florine) McHenry; mother, Mary Fain; sister, Starrhett McHenry; brother, Cedric Evans; grandparents, Dean and Lois Upshaw; aunts, Bessie McHenry, Emma (Ray) Peeks, and Peggy (Reggie) Perry; uncle, Tony McHenry; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Neal and Cynthia Echols; sister-in-law, LaTascha “Bird” Echols; nieces, Janiya “The Professor” Woods and Journee Hall; nephew, Jayceon “The Game” Hall; two very special cousins/sister/ brother Yashica Jackson and Alfred Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
