Mrs. Alice Faye (Weaver) Hinton

Mrs. Alice Faye Weaver Hinton, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed on January 18, 2023. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mack Eppinger Funeral Home Chapel. Mack Eppinger & Sons in charge of arrangements . Please keep the Hinton family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Alice Faye Weaver Hinton, known by most as Faye, was born on October 18, 1945, in Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Mary Miller Weaver Henderson and Mr. Willard “Wee” Weaver. She was the oldest of four children and the only girl. Faye attended Summerhill High school, where she was a member of the Summer Hill High School Blue Devil Marching Band as a majorette and graduated with the Summerhill Class of 1963.

Later in life Faye married Donlin “Dino” Hinton, Sr., and they shared 2 sons, Donlin, Jr., and Brandon. Faye worked for Goodyear Mills after graduating from high school. She also worked as a private sitter, until she retired in 2020. Faye was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a giving, loving person with an infectious laugh, and great sense of humor. Her greatest love and accomplishment were being a mother and godmother to as many children as she could. Faye was a breast cancer survivor of over 20 years. She was passionate about participating in the Bartow County Relay for Life event every year to raise money and awareness.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Darryl and Larry Henderson; and a baby granddaughter, Niyla.

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories to her husband, Donlin “Dino” Hinton, Sr.; children, Donlin “D” Hinton, Jr. (Brannelle), Brandon Hinton, Tammy Hinton, and Denise Hinton; brother, Harvey Henderson; Godchildren, Tammy Beavers, Anita Smith, Jason Williams, and DeQuana Ellis; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many close cousins and a host of friends.
