Mrs. Faye Nell (Arnold) Jewell

Mrs. Faye Nell Arnold Jewell, 72, of Cartersville, Georgia passed on Saturday, December 28, 2019.

Service for Mrs. Jewell will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Yorkville Church Of God In Christ, 4248 GA-101, Rockmart, Georgia 30153.  She will lie in-state from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service.  Interment will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114.  The family will receive friends at Mack Eppinger & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Faye was born on December 29, 1946 to the late John Robert and Gracie Mae Arnold in Dallas, Georgia. She was educated in the Paulding County School System and attended Matthew High School, graduating with the Class of 1966. She later met and married the love of her life Walter “Pete” Jewell.

Faye was employed by Sewell Coat Factory for many years but later left and went to work for Union Carbide (Glad) where she retired after many years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed cooking, baking teacakes, and sewing for family and friends. Faye’s favorite pastime was keeping kids, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She also enjoyed life to the fullest and would always let you know that she loved you.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Walter Jerome Winters; nephew, Marcus Arnold; brother-in-law, William Jewell; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Brent.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Valerie and Kimberly Jewell; five grandchildren, Kadarrian McCullough, Tyjonnah Winters, Jereni Winters, Malachi Jewell and Kenzye Scrutchins; eight sisters, Shirley Henderson, Mildred (Ernest) Martin, Cora (George) Wood, Joyce (Anthony) Vazquez, Barbara (Richard) Speights, Rochelle Darden, Nadine Darden and Toni Cummings; three brothers, Ronnie Arnold, Ellis (Renita) Arnold and Jerry Cummings; mother-in-law, Ms. Annie Pearl Mallory; sisters-in-law, Lee Ida Jewell, Lesa (Stanley) Slocum, Kathy Jewell, Lillie Jewell, Annie Ruth Mallory, Lois McAfee and Levon (Harvey) Dean; special caregivers, Gwen Scales and Marshelle Ringer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
