Mrs. Priscilla Yvette Barrett Nettles, 55, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 1:00PM at Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Rd NE , Cartersville, GA 30121. If there is inclement weather as predicted the service will be held at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be admitted to the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure he family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Mrs. Priscilla Yvette Barrett -Nettles obeyed God’s call on April 22, 2021 to come home and rest. Priscilla was born on February 16, 1966 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late George and Elizabeth Barrett. Priscilla attended Bartow County School and graduated from Adairsville High School. She worked multiple jobs around the Cartersville area. Priscilla retired from Honeywell Meter in 2019 after twelve years of service
Priscilla joined New Hope Baptist Church of Rydal Georgia. She assisted with different offices around the church, and attended services until her illness. She married the love of her life, Mr. Dexter Nettles on May 4, 2013. They enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with each other. “ Making long life memories” as she would call it. When she was not with Dexter she loved growing her beautiful flowers, doing word search puzzles, playing solitaire and enjoying her grand children.
Those left to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Dexter; three children, Daniel, Marissa Barrett and Lequentin Harshaw; six grandchildren, Aubree, Karter, Oliver, Kayla, Ashanti, and Christine; two special nephews, Cory Barrett and Jeremy Weems; five sisters, Ida McAfee, Annolia Moore, Vanessa (Ronald) Weems, Rosebud Owens, and Georgia (Rev. Larry) Pettigrew; one brother, Billy Barrett; Mother in law, Estelle Nettles; three sisters in laws, Darlene Bacchus, Linda Stocks and Le Ann Williams; special cousins, Ruth Ann Owens and Mary Frances Johnson; one aunt Hannah Pye; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
