In the early morning of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Ms. Hattie Mae Beavers McClure peacefully transitioned into the presence of the Lord.

Hattie was born in Cartersville, Georgia, located in the Cassville Community, to the late Robert and Helen Beavers. She was the third of seven children, growing up in a close-knit and loving family. She attended Summer Hill High School. She was employed at Good Year Mills and later Shaw Industries for many years until her retirement. After retiring Hattie worked in private care.

At an early age Hattie accepted Christ and became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years. One of her greatest passions was singing. She joyfully led the Children’s Choir and was also a cherished voice in the Senior Choir.

Years later, Hattie became a member of the New Hope Horizons, a gospel group that traveled far and wide, lifting the name of the Lord in song at churches across the region. Their music ministry touched countless lives and every anniversary celebration would pack the church with eager worshippers. God’s people would fill the pews, excited to hear Hattie sing her most beloved selections; “Like A Ship”. “On Time God”, and “I’m On The Right Road Now”, among many others. Her voice stirred souls, and her spirit inspired all who heard her.

Hattie’s devotion to her faith and church community remained steadfast until her health began to decline. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, tending to her garden, and cooking for her family, who especially loved her green beans, sweet potatoes, collard greens, and cornbread dressing. Walmart was her favorite place to shop, where she always took time to chat with anyone willing to talk.

She is preceded in death by her devoted parents, Robert and Helen Beavers; brothers, Bishop “Jackey” Beavers, Charlie Dan Beavers, and Jimmy Larry Beavers; sister, Alice Gordon; brother-in-law, Andrew Crawford; grandchild, Latoya Moore; great-grandchild, Jordan Beavers, Ayden Moore, great nephew, Brandon Xavier Crawford; and special friend, James Prater.

Hattie Mae leaves to cherish her memories; beloved children, Perry (Vanessa) Beavers of Kingston, Georgia, Timothy (Phyllis) Miller of Cleveland, Tennessee, Tammy Washington of Acworth, Georgia, and Jimmy Beavers of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren, Justen Beavers of Cartersville, Georgia, Jasmine Moore (Jeremy Buffington) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Xavier Miller of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Jeremy Beavers of Adairsville, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Monica Beavers, Amari Love, Amira Love, Jaylen Buffington, Shannon Beavers, Maleah Beavers, Justen Beavers, Jr., Anylia Beavers and Jace Beavers; loving sisters, Carolyn Crawford, Dorothy (Douglas) Dodd; brother, Matthew (Shelia) Beavers; sisters-in-law, Gloria Beavers, Lillian Beavers and Faye Beavers all of Cassville, Georgia; honorary grandchildren, Kristen and Alyson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that love and will miss her
