On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, Pearl received her heavenly wings and went home to be with the Lord. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late A.J. Woods and Candy Sweet Nelson Woods. She was affectionately called “Bright” by all those that loved her. Pearl attended Bartow County School System. At an early she accepted Christ and joined Macedonia Baptist Church, later she joined Christ Temple Church of God In Christ and also attended New Beginnings Church of God In Christ.

Bright was employed by Cartersville Spinning for fifteen plus years. After leaving the company, she went to work for North Cobb Janitorial Service, owned by her daughter and son-in-law. Although the company was owned by her daughter and son-in-law, she made it known she was the “Boss”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and her only grandson, Elreque “Ricky” Daron Griffin.

Pearl leaves to cherish her loving memories, her beloved daughter, Mary Lucile Blalock (Walter); two granddaughters, Keecia Scott (Travis) and Sheri Blalock; three great grand children, Asia Wilkins, Brandon McMullen and Trevor Scott; siblings, Albert Woods (Mary James), Betty Rogers and Beulah Sloan; step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, step great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends; Goddaughter, Nanda Ross and a special friend and sister in Christ, Mary Richardson.
