Myrtice or Myrt as everyone called her, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Memaw, beloved sister, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 79. She fought a good fight with cancer, but God decided it was time to take her rest.

Myrtice was born on January 23, 1947 to the late Emory Hill and Catherine Lott Hill in Cartersville, Georgia.

She dedicated her life to the people she loved most—her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for others and worked tirelessly to ensure her family always had what they needed. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love, where everyone was welcomed with an open heart.

Myrtice was known for her kindness, generosity, and selfless spirit. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or put the needs of others before her own. Her love was evident in countless everyday acts of care and sacrifice that touched the lives of those around her.

As a wife, she was a faithful and devoted partner. As a mother and Memaw, she was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and love. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. As a sister and friend, she was loyal, compassionate, and always ready with a listening ear and a caring heart.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Catherine; her sisters and brother, Sara Jo, Connie and Emory Jr; her son Danny and her loving husband Daniel.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Robert Barker);  grandchildren, Danielle (Sree Harsha), Aaron, Jaquita and Robert Jr; great grandchildren, Robert Jr, Tristan, Michael, Noah, Isabella  and Angela; siblings ,Geraldine (James Dodd) and Kathleen, and other loved ones.

The family will forever cherish her example of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.
