Neia Jones Obituary

Ms. Neia Nekia Jones, 41 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Please keep her family in her thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1 Mount Olive Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

  On Sunday, September 11, 2022 Neia Nekeia Jones passed away peacefully at Advent Health Redmond Regional Medical Center into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Neia was born on January 15, 1981 in Cartersville, Georgia to William “Frank” and Elizabeth Denise Jones. She was educated in the Cartersville School System. She graduated from Cartersville High School with the Class of 1998. Neia committed her life to the Lord at a young age, but continuously strengthened her relationship with Christ in her adult life. She LOVED THE LORD!!!

She was most known for her beautiful smile, big heart, bubbly personality and her firecracker spirit. Neia loved her family and friends. Everyone that knew her loved her; they could always count on her to put a smile on their faces and she was a joy to be around. Neia was employed at Metal Coaters in Marietta, Georgia, where she was a Team Leader Operator. When she was not at work she could be found watching her son play basketball; bonding with her grandson or hanging out with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn Kay Richards, Luther Lee Richards and Florence Young; aunts and uncles, Lisa Richards, Robert Young, Sharron Linley, and stepfather, Jerry McCluskey.

Neia leaves to cherish her precious memory her son, William LaTrel (Amari) Jones and a grandson that stole her heart Syere LaTrel Jones; parents, William “Frank” (Jill) Jones and Elizabeth Denise McCluskey; brothers, William O. “Pedie” Jones, Jason Sorrells and Brandon Sorrells; one sister, Alicia S. (Rico) Wiggins; three favorite nephews, Trevin Jones, Devin Jones and Zachary Wiggins; one very special niece, Alyssa Wiggins; aunts, Angela Nuga, Rhonda Brown, Robin Porter and Nedia Gary; a very special friend Melissa Milline; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Neia’s memory will continue to live on with all of those that loved and adored her. ALL will miss her!!!.
