Patricia Ann (Canty) Henry

Mrs. Patricia Ann Henry, 68, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, 319 North Erwin Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being able to attend. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Patricia Ann Canty Henry was born on August 9, 1952 in Cartersville, Georgia to John Lewis Canty and Annie Florence Canty. She was educated in the Cartersville School System graduating with the Cartersville High School Class of 1970. After graduation, Patricia attended Cosmetology School at Atlanta Area Technical College, where she obtained a Master Cosmetology Degree.
On April 30, 1982 she married Ray C. Henry and to this union two children was were born, Natasha and Patrick. Patricia was very proud of her children and their accomplishments.
Patricia was a member of Alexander United Methodist Church, where she served as the Church Secretary and Usher for many years. She was employed by Spring City Knitting of Cartersville for many years. She was also employed by Suzanne's Beauty Shop. Patricia enjoyed beautifying many women of the community. After the shop closed she continued to do hair out of her home. She decided to go back to school where she obtained a degree in accounting from North Metro Technical. Patricia was well loved by those who knew her. She liked to attend church functions, cook and spend time with her Grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her Father John Lewis Canty; Paternal Grandparents Henry Ramsey and Bertha Richards Ramsey; Maternal Grandparents John Canty and Esther Canty Hudson; Brother-in-law Phillip Henry Sr.; and Sister-in-law Patricia Yard.

She leaves to cherish her, loving memories; her loving husband of 38 years Ray C Henry; a beloved daughter; Natasha Henry; a loving son, Patrick her; two additional bonus daughters, Rasland (Keith) Kirkland and Rachel Henry all of Cartersville, GA. ; her loving Mother Annie Florence Canty; and ten grandchildren; brother in laws, Albert (Ann) Henry of Phenix City, Alabama, Derrick Yard of Norfolk, Virginia; sister in law Barbara (Ponce) Gerald of Dumfries, Virginia,; special cousin, Jamie Ramsey Simpson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
