Mr. Paul Edward Gamble, Sr., 71, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1020 Mission Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, Georgia 30114.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be admitted to the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Paul Edward Gamble, Sr. was born on June 9, 1950 in Bartow County to Charlie Edward Gamble, Jr. and Naomi Milton. Paul departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Paul grew up in the Mission Road Community on Harrison Road all his life. He attended Bartow Elementary School in Cassville, and Summer Hill High School in Cartersville. He served his country in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in February 1977. He was employed with Shaw Industries in Cartersville for over thirty years. Paul was a fun, comical person to those who will remember him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Edward Gamble, Jr. and Naomi Milton; brother, Harvey Gamble; grandmother who raised him, Corine Carson; and aunt, Frances Gainor.
Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory his faithful, loving wife, True Helen Dodson Gamble; two sons, Charles Edward Gamble, Sr., and Paul Edward Gamble, Jr.; grandchildren, Chelsey, Charles, Jr., Destiny, Olivia, Jazmyn, Lauren, Avery, Paul III, Parnell and Preston; and three great-grandchildren; his sisters, Veronica Kay Hutchins, Kimberly Shaw Abston, and Barbara Gamble; and a brother, Christopher Lee Milton; sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Morris) Pennyman, Nell (Robert Benham), and Rita (William)Griffin; brothers-in-law, Norris (Ruby) Dodson and Bobby (Irma) Dodson.
