Mr. Ricky Lynn Hill, 61, of Kingston, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00AM at Queen Chapel Church Cemetery, 105 Johnson Street, Kingston, GA 30145. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Ricky Lynn Hill was born on May 16, 1960 in Floyd County to the late Dorothy Wooley and John Henry Hill. He made his transition on July 18, 2021. He accepted Christ at an early age, joining St Paul Baptist Church in Kingston, GA. He later moved his membership to New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he was also ordained as a deacon. He attended Kingston Elementary school in Kingston, GA and graduated from Adairsville, High School in Adairsville, GA in 1977.

Ricky enjoyed fishing, gardening, fire fighting competitions, watching cowboy movies, baseball, football and a love for animals. He was a star football player in high school and loved coaching young kids in sports. Ricky would do anything he could for anyone who needed his help. His greatest joy of all was spending time with his grandson, Braylon Hill.

He worked for Thrall Car as a painter and a plumber. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Kingston Fire Department, which lead him to pursue a career as a fireman. Ricky was proud to be a fireman and to work for the Bartow County and the City of Cartersville Fire Departments, where he worked for over 15 years until his retirement.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Yvonne and Rena; and one brother, John Willie Hill.

Ricky leaves to cherish his loving memories; two sons, Branden Towers (Syveta) and Rashad Hill; one daughter,Chelsea Hill; two sisters, DeGloria Hosey (Calvin) and Joanne Kellam (Larry); three grandsons, Braylon Hill, Zion Garrett and Sahiaan Hill; one niece, Nicole Jackson; and five nephews, Mark Williams, Ronald Williams, Lajaune Hosey, Jonathan Hill and Julian Hill; four uncles, William, Walter Frank, Robert Lee (Betty) and Weymon Hill and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.
