Obituary

Mr. Ronnie Zachery, 67 of Kingston, Georgia passed away suddenly on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his residence in Kingston, Georgia. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00A.M. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 85 Shaw Street NW, Kingston, Georgia 30145. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, Georgia 30114. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

On Monday, July 24, 2023, God called home His good and humble servant, Mr. Ronnie (Lil Boy) Zachery, to enter eternal rest and peace. Ronnie was born July 25, 1955, in Kinston, Georgia, to the late Frank Thomas Zachery, Sr. and Virginia Zachery. Ronnie joined Queen Chapel Methodist Church in Kingston, Georgia, at an early age. He enjoyed his childhood alongside his twin brother Roy.

Ronnie enjoyed watching television, especially Westerns and Atlanta Falcons and Braves games. Talking loudly and smacking while eating food, you did not have to see him to know he was near. He had a humble easy-going spirit. He loved his life, he loved his family, and he loved his friends. In December 1974, Ronnie joined the United States Air Force. He received his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He was then transferred to Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina. Ronnie received his certification as a dental assistant and worked his next four years of service as assistant to his friend Dr. Yeager. During this time, he received an eye injury in a softball game that ended his military career.

Ronnie then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he worked in the front office and as a dental assistant to Dr. Gregory Johnson for fifteen years. He also worked at Holy Cross Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and Shaw Industries in Cartersville, Georgia.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father Frank Thomas Zachery, Sr.

Ronnie leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory. His wife, Marsha Pritchett Zachery, with whom he married on December 27, 1975. Several years later, they loved and cared for twin boys, Timothy L. Milner and Timar L. Milner. Ronnie also has a daughter, Latrice Zachery, who lives in Sumter, South Carolina. Mother: Virginia Zachery. Siblings: Dora Barrett (Robert), Frank Thomas Zachery, Jr., Roy Zachery (Beverly), Evone Whisenhunt (Melvin), Sarah Solomon (Sidney), Leroy Zachery, Richard Walford, and Stacey Owens (Eric). In-Laws: Carrie Bryant, Eddie Bryant, Dale Bryant (Tirra), Zina Young (Richard);Aunts and uncles: John Wesley Stephens, Jacqueline Favors, James Franklin Stephens (Glenda), and Samuel Stephens (Marie). And a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special Friends: London (Boo Boo) Sanders, Robert Lawyer, and Cynthia Robinson Lavette.
