Stephanie Geanene (Winters) Winters

Ms. Stephanie Geanene Winters, 51 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away suddenly on Monday, November 29, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:00PM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 147 Jones Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00PM (Noon) until the hour of service . Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Due to COVBID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted to the service. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Stephanie Geanene Winters was born on December 11, 1969 in Cartersville, Georgia to Joyce Geanene (Scott) Dean and Leon Winters. SHe was the oldest of her siblings andthe primary caregiver for her mom. Stephanie , known to her family and friends as "Step and Peppi" attended Cartersville City Schools where she was a cheerleader, ran track and a graduate of the Class of 1988.

All that knew Stephanie, knew that she loved her family. She was a beautiful person with such a giving, lovable and nonjudgemental personality. Stephanie had a funny sense of humor, she loved to joke around, travel, spend time with her loved ones and to bowl. She was a hard worker. Through the years she was employed by Subway, Kroger and Wal-Mart where she made many great friendships.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearline Scott and Frank Scott and Clara Bell; three aunts, Frankie Cochran, Shelia Scott and Joan Jones; two uncles, Roger Upshaw and Jamie Pennymon.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her loving memory; mother, Joyce (Harrison) Dean; father Leon (Julie) Winters; two precious sons, Travarus LaScott (Sara) Winters and Travon Joimaine Winters; two brothers, Davey Winters and Neon Winters; two grandchildren whom she adored, Taylin LaShae Winters and Taylor Winters; her great aunt, Ruby Jean Jones; aunts, Allene (Larry) Henderson, JoAnna Richards, Gail (Eddie) Carter, Trice Darby, Allene (Danny) Johnson, Jan Bryant and Annie Winters; uncle, John Winters; nieces, D'Naya Wilson, Jantisha Gainor, Shaquala Alexander and A'lani Winters; nephew, Shandez Moore; three very special cousins, Fefe, Jacces and Laquana; two near and dear friends,Sholondia Collins and Shelly Calvert; The Squad and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
