Stephen Harold Jacobs

Mr. Stephen Harold Jacobs, 75 of Rome, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 4:00PM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel and the family will receive friends from 3:00PM until the hour of service. Mr. Stephen Harold Jacobs, 75 of Rome Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 25, 2023, while resting at his residence.  

He was born in Cedartown, Georgia on December 4,1947 to the late William Harold Jacobs and Helen Robertson Jacobs. He was educated in the Polk County School System.

Stephen served in the United States Army and the Vietnam War from January 9, 1965 until March 26, 1971. He believed the perfect day was fishing or on the water while surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful Pawpaw, a beloved husband, father and friend.

Stephen loved going to the races, watching his western shows, and listening to country music. He was one of a kind.

He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Troy Harber; parents; and his brother Mickey Jacobs.

Stephen leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 47 years, Judy Jacobs; children, Kevin (Wynne) Jacobs, Suzan (Dwight) Cox, Curtis (Shannon) Jacobs, Casey (Dana) Jacobs, Steve (Christie) Smithson, and Candy (Phillip) Persinger; grandchildren, Joshua Jacobs, Alexis (Caleb) Jacobs, Chandler Jacobs, Avery (Lacceyi) Jacobs, Cassidy (Gavin) Jacks, Bailey Jacobs, Rhett Jacobs, Tessa Jacobs, Deziree Cox, Drake Cox, Kaitlyn Jacobs, Brayden Jacobs, Evan (Megan) Collins John (Adina) Lawrence, Robert Lawrence, Nicole (Robbie) Couture, Tyler (Kylee) Duggar, Alexus (Jeff) Westphal, Macayla Duggar, Elyssa Smithson, Ella Smithson, Charlie (Wendy), Sean, and Cassy (Colby) Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Thea Tant, Vaida Jacks, Laine Jacobs, Jaze Lawrence, Asher Lawrence, Amelia Collins, Michelle Collins, Kynslee Couture, and Briggs Westphal; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
