Theresa Ann (Echols) Johnson

Ms. Theresa Ann Johnson, 69 of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in  Liberty Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Acworth, Georgia 30101.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted.

Theresa Ann Echols (Johnson) was the first child born to Mrs. Odessa Hill, on July 8, 1952 in Acworth, GA . She left this world on the morning of November 11, 2021 and gained her heavenly crown.

 She was educated in the Cobb County School System and graduated from North Cobb High School. Theresa was quite the athlete; and a star on the Track Team. She was employed with Kennestone Hospital and worked there for many years.  Theresa later accepted a job at Big Lots Retail Store and worked there until her health failed her.

Theresa was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and accepted Christ at an early age. She spent her leisure time grilling , loving on her grandchildren, and dancing. She enjoyed dancing and was considered one of the best dancers in Cobb County. The high light of her life was her children and grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

Theresa Ann Echols was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Odessa Hill; and brother, Mr. Wilbur "Zap" Kemp.

She leaves to cherish her memory her memory; sons, Marcel Bullock (Kinna), Justin Bullock, Dustin Johnson; daughter, Sheena Johnson; brothers, Percy Echols (Mary) and Keith Echols; sister, Charlene Echols; ten grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be dearly missed.
