Thomas Solomon Obituary

Mr. Thomas E. Solomon, 72 of Emerson, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00AM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 N. Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Thomas Edward Solomon was born on April 13, 1949 to the late Edward and Willie Mae Fowler Solomon of Cartersville, Georgia. Throughout his early years he attended Bartow County School System where he later achieved his G.E.D.

Thomas was a very dedicated and hardworking man and not only to his family, but to his community as well. He once served as a member on the Deacon Board at Damascus Baptist Church of Emerson, Georgia where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He was employed by Cimbar Plant and retired after thirty-three years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Latesha and Dana, and all his wonderful grandchildren. No matter what they needed, he was always there to lend a helping hand and made sure they had everything they needed and wanted. Words can't express what a loving, kind hearted, and devoted man he was.

Thomas was always the life and light of the party. He could cut a rug with all his wonderful dance moves. No matter who you were he always found a way to put a smile on your face, with tons of his famous jokingly quotes that are truly going to be missed. He always said "somebody gotta win and somebody gotta lose". On Saturday, September 4, 2021 God won an inspiring angel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Latesha Davenport; two sisters, Lois Kellogg and Sharon Scrutchins; and brother, Kinsey Lewis Solomon,Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; daughter, Dana(Jimmy) Solomon; grandchildren, Lance Bryant, Lacie (Horace) Simmons, Lyrica Solomon, LaNia Langston, Lionel Langston, Luke Bryant; sisters, Avery Solomon, Minnie (Nathaniel) Carson; brother, Jolly Solomon; five great-grandchildren; aunt, Berlene Howard, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind his three cats.

A light from our family is gone. The voice we all loved and enjoyed so much has silenced, but the unconditional love and fantastic memories will always shine bright in our hearts. Until we meet again, Thomas in our hearts and thoughts is where we'll keep you friend.  WE LOVE YOU PAPA!!
