Tony Lavette Baugh peacefully entered eternal rest on November 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. Born on July 7, 1952, he was the sixth of twelve children to the late Mildred Allen Baugh and Leroy Baugh, Sr.
From a young age, Tony embraced his faith, accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he found joy in gospel music. Under the mentorship of Mrs. Annie Rose Anderson Mitchell, he proudly sang with the Mt. Zion Male Chorus, traveling throughout Northwest Georgia on Sunday afternoons to share their uplifting melodies.
Tony's education began in the Cartersville City Schools, where he attended the Summer Hill School before graduating from Cartersville High School with the Class of 1971. His love for music continued during his high school years as a member of the CHS Chorus.
After a fulfilling career, Tony retired from the Springdale Company, having also worked at various grocery stores, including A & P, Colonial, and Battles. In later years, he dedicated his time to providing compassionate private care for individuals within the community.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beaulah Baugh, and a son, Kelly. He reunited in rest with siblings Albertha Baugh Johnson, Leroy Baugh, Jr., Charles Baugh, James Alfred Baugh, Brenda Baugh, and Anda Baugh Houston.
He is survived by his two cherished daughters, Taleshia Baugh Palmer (Jerry) and Dequeta Baugh, along with five loving siblings: Patricia Baugh Williams (Willie), Vanessa Baugh, Nana Baugh Ross (Lanny), Eric Baugh, and Reginald Baugh (Cynthia). Tony also leaves behind twelve adoring grandchildren: Savanna Hutchins, Zayla Brown, Breanna Hutchins, Lamont Jeffries, Destiney Seman, AJay Wilson, Mia Wilson, Jeremy Palmer, Jayden Palmer, Jaylen Palmer, Jordan Palmer, and Faith Brumelow; and numerous nephews, nieces, and various other relatives and friends.
