Ursula Turlene (Young) Clemons

Ms. Ursula Turlene Clemons, 89 of Dallas, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Acworth Primary Health Care. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00PM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Ursula Turlene Young Clemons was born on September 21, 1932 to the late John Tulley Young, Sr. and Corrie Young of Acworth, Georgia. She was affectionately called Turlene or "Troy" by her family and friends. She was a member of Bethel SME Church and worked with the Acworth Community Center Group.

After retiring from Coats & Clark she helped a few young mothers by taking care of their children when they needed a helping hand. She had a great sense of humor, loved to dance and play dominos. Some of her favorite phrases were, "Get out of here!", "Get out of town!", and "Well, I'll say!". 

Turlene was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside. She was kind, loving, full of life, patient, and a hero to many. She always had a smile on her face, welcomed all and had a place in her house for anyone who needed it. She was our true life Wonder Woman. Turlene loved to be surrounded by family and was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents,John Tulley Young, Sr. and Corrie Young; sisters, Lorene Watts, Mary Johnson, and Colleen Young; brothers, John Tulley, Jr., and Clarence Young; and her son Gerry Clemons.

She leaves to cherish her memory with; brother Roy Young (Barbara); sister-in-law Yvonne Young; son Derrick Clemons (Isabell); daughter-in-law, Milver Clemons; daughter, Shelia Hill (Dwight); sons, Rodney Clemons, Ronald Clemons, and Roderick Noonan (Molly); grandchildren, great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. THIS SERVICE WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED.
