Vangel Cherise Dodson Wills, 49, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.  
 

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Gardens 790 Indian Mound Road SE, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Vangel Cherise Dodson Wills aka “Ree Ree”, entered eternal peace on June 7, 2022 into the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Vangel was born in Cartersville, Georgia on June 13, 1972 to the late Louise and James Donald Heard. She accepted Christ with Pastor Roy E. Fowler at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church. ReeRee’s early education started at Cartersville Primary School and she later graduated from Cass High School with the Class of 1990. Soon after graduation Vangel began working with United Plastic for a few years; she later went to work for Goodyear Manufacturing Company. After working for Goodyear, ReeRee decided she wanted to start a career as a CNA. Vangel attend Nursing School and received her certification as a Nursing Assistant, and later retiring from the medical field.
Vangel had a loving and caring heart and she never met a stranger. She would have you laughing in any situation. ReeRee loved watching her soap operas, reality TV, and lifetime movies. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and she was famous for her sweet potato pies.
Vangel is preceded in death by her parents; adoptive parents, Roosevelt and Roberta Dodson; and her brother, John Anderson Gamble.
Vangel leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Terrence Wills, Sr.; sons, Terrell Wade, Brandon Wade, Terrence Wills, Jr., and Tamichael Wills; granddaughter, Maelyn K. Wade; siblings, Fredrick (Hattie) Dodson, Wayne Winters, Eric (Ursula) Heard, Charlotte (Willie Troy) Johnson, Cherylin Dodson, Velma Heard, Carol Heard, Johnny Heard, James Heard and Iris Heard; uncle, Earnest (Linda) Dean; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends.
