Willie Benjamin Wills, Jr., 63 of Grand Prairie, Texas formerly of Kingston, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Queens Chapel Cemetery, 105 Johnson Street, Kingston, Georgia 30145. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Willie Benjamin Wills, Jr. of Grand Prairie, Texas, formerly of Kingston, Georgia gained his heavenly wings on Thursday, February 5, 2026 and went home to be with our Lord and Savior.
Willie Benjamin Wills, Jr. was born on January 1, 1963 to the late Willie Benjamin Wills, Sr. and Terry Lee Barton in Kingston, Georgia. He was educated in the Bartow County School System, attending Kingston Elementary School and later attending Adairsville High School where he played basketball for the Adairsville Tigers and graduating with the Class of 1981.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, after graduating from high school Willie joined the United States Army. He served his country for sixteen years on active duty with the Army and joined the National Guard for the remainder of his time in service. After serving over twenty years, he received an Honorable Discharge.
After retiring from the military Willie accepted a position with General Dynamics as a Communication Specialist in Dallas, Texas where he remained until his health started to decline. Fishing, watching television, and relaxing in his recliner was some of the things he enjoyed in his retirement.
His parents; grandparents, Grady and Elizabeth Barton; brothers, Ronnie Barton and Rico Wills; aunts, Louise Wells, Martha McConnell, Marcia Barton and Brenda Barton; uncles, Felton Barton and James Edward Barton, and a host of other relatives all preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his loving memories are his only daughter, NiKeya Wills of Oklahoma, OK.; Wanda Wills of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Mary Ann Wills and Carlette Wills; brothers Terrence Wills and Tracy Wills; aunts, Grace Grimes, Betty James, and Gladys Barton; special nephews, Tyson Wills and Tyris Slocum; special niece, Gabrielle Wills; four very special friends, Phil James, Sherry Wise-Mays, Judy Carter and Stanley Slocum; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
