Wilma Ann Boyd, 73 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Harborview Rome, LLC in Rome, Georgia. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 235 Henry Mack Hill Road, Rydal, Georgia. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Wilma Ann Boyd was born on August 6, 1951, in Cartersville ,Georgia to the late Floyd Boyd and Mary Ann Ozella Jones Daniels. She was educated in the Cobb County School system and graduated from Marietta High School in 1969. While at Marietta High she played Basketball and ran Track for the Marietta High “Blue Devils”. Wilma lived a life defined by resilience, love, and faith. She was a proud mother, beloved grandmother and great grandmother.
A woman of deep faith, Wilma found her strength in God and passed that faith on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren . She lived with purpose and conviction, providing a safe- haven and moral compass for all who leaned on her.
Wilma will be remembered for her strong spirit, unmatched cooking, and competitive nature—whether in a friendly game of cards or perfecting a family recipe, she approached life with passion and determination. Her home was a gathering place filled with warmth, joy, and a deep sense of belonging.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Juanita Boyd Watkins.
Left to cherish her memories are son, Samuel Boyd, grandchildren, Sharmauriah Boyd, Chyna Nation, Samatha Streetman, Eric Streetman, Chadwick Nation, Shania Boyd, Stephen Boyd, Shianne Boyd and Landon Boyd, great grandchildren, Jacob and Josiah Boyd who brought light and laughter to her later years, sisters, Ann Boyd and Carolyn (Ulysses) Driver and Geraldine Sands, brothers, John Boyd and James Boyd. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
