Lucille (Zachery) Zachery

Ms.. Lucille Zachery, 90, of Kingston, GA. passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00am at Queens Chapel Independent Methodist Church, Kingston, GA. Interment will follow in the Kingston Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.

Lucile was born April 13, 1926 in Kingston, Georgia to the late Alford Zachery and Irene Waters Zachery. Lou, as she was warmly known was actively involved and committed to serving her community. She joined Queens Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age and was a faithful member who served the church in various capacities including: usher board member, church secretary, and Sunday school leader. She was also a loyal member of the Willing Workers Club, a service club of women devoted to the community. She worked at Battey State Hospital in Rome, Georgia for several years before starting her career as a general laborer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Cartersville, Georgia.

Her memories are left to be cherished by her children, Fred Thomas Zachery and Predetha Zachery Hammonds; her siblings, Betty Hill (Robert) and Frank Zachery (Virginia); one uncle, Mack Waters (Lilly); five grandchildren who include Tabatha Taylor (Kenneth), Tanya Graham (Benjamin), Reginald Zachery (Angie), Andrea Gayle (Darryle), and Andre Zachery; eleven great grandchildren Jasmine, Adrian, Tanisha, Akeem, Miaya, Myles, Mychael, Keondre, Kimora, Drummer, and Asher; and four great-great grandchildren Donte, Nevaeh, Avery, and Porter, as well as forty-three very special nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
