Mr. Marlon Eugene Benham

Marlon E. Benham, 53 of Cartersville, Georgia passed on Monday, September 5, 2016.

Memorial Service will be Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Cartersville, Georgia.

Marlon was born February 22, 1963 in Cartersville Georgia to the late Alfred Benham, Sr. and Mamie Hudson Benham.  He was the 7th of what would grow to be 8 guys.  

Marlon graduated from Cartersville High School.  After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he served for many years.  Upon returning home he had various jobs, but the most fulfilling job he held was just being “Uncle Marlon” whether it was to his biological nieces and nephews or to the neighborhood kids.  Marlon had a natural born gift of humor and love.  He was often the star of the show and the life of the party.  With his contagious fun and out-going personality, he never met a stranger.

He is survived by: Big Brothers, Alfred S. Benham, Jr., Barry Benham (Rosel), Steven Benham (Linda), Michael Benham, Rex Benham (Bettell), Patrick Benham; nieces and nephews, Moneka, Shatequa, Tamika, Natari, Christopher, Benjamin, Steven, Jr., Corey, Jessica, Jarrett, and Hunter; and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
